Meet William
If you live in or near Oxford, Maryland, you already know Skipper Marquess. If you're a newcomer, you will. Originally from Baltimore, Skipper moved here in 1980 after a career in broadcast TV. He became a REALTOR® in 1986, worked for a series of real estate firms, and became a broker of one acquired by Coldwell Banker.
Always active in his profession, he has been a board member and President of the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® (1997), District Seven Vice President for the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® of the Year (1998 2006), and President of the Maryland Chapter of the Certified Residential Specialists (2008). He received the MAR President's Award for 2014. Presently, Skipper is a member of the MAR Mediation program, a member of the State of Maryland Attorney Grievance Committee, and a past chair of the Maryland Association of REALTORS® Convention Committee.
Skipper helped found the Oxford Business Association. He is a founder and board member of the Tred Avon Players and Chesapeake Children's Theater, Fleet Admiral for the Oxford Cardboard Boat race for The Oxford Community Center, and Special Olympics Maryland for 20 years. A past vice-president of the Oxford Museum, he occasionally gives historic tours of Oxford. He also provides PA for Oxford Day and is the announcer for the July 4 Celebration in Oxford Park and the Oxford Ghost Walk. Skipper's wife, Leigh, and daughter, Galen, are sometimes seen on stage together in Easton or Oxford while Skipper works the lights.
You'll enjoy Skipper Marquess better. And perhaps use his knowledge of real estate and this part of Maryland to help you buy or sell a house.
